I’m a documentary photographer and filmmaker based in Hanoi. My projects emerge from the places I live — most begin within walking distance of home, shaped by the sounds, rhythms, and small exchanges that root into my daily life.
In an urban context, I’m drawn to how people adapt to their environments and how those environments are, in turn, reshaped under economic change. Through sustained observation and reflection, I try to trace the texture of everyday life and the quiet negotiations between change and continuity.
Before moving to Vietnam, I spent over a decade in rural Northern England working within collectives and communities on long-form documentary projects. Those experiences continue to inform my approach — collaborative in spirit and grounded in place — even as my practice has shifted towards a more reflective, observational mode within an urban setting.
Alongside independent projects, I collaborate with cultural organisations and institutions on documentary and creative commissions that explore how photography can deepen our understanding of the social and environmental world around us.
